Aftenposten is on an ambitious journey to strengthen its position as a leading digital news destination. To support this, we are looking for a Commercial Product Manager who will play a key role in driving subscription growth and commercial performance.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of editorial, product, and commercial teams—translating strategy into action and ensuring we continuously improve how we attract, convert, and retain subscribers.

You will be part of Schibsted Subscription, report to the Director of Subscription at Aftenposten and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Schibsted.

What you’ll be doing

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drive commercial strategy and performance together with the Director of Subscription and key stakeholders

  • Translate strategic goals into concrete priorities, experiments, and initiatives.

  • Represent Aftenposten in cross-team forums and prioritization processes.

  • Work closely with editorial, product, and subscription teams to identify and act on growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with marketing and brand teams to plan and execute campaigns that deliver on key metrics.

  • Contribute to the development of pricing, packaging, and sales strategies, including automation and dynamic paywall initiatives.

  • Monitor KPIs and subscription performance, and communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Lead strategic projects—from analysis and recommendations to implementation.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

  • Experience working across content, product, and commercial functions.

  • A strong understanding of subscription business models and digital funnels.

  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate data clearly.

  • Experience with project management, ideally at a strategic level.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • The ability to present complex topics in a clear and engaging way.

  • Fluency in Norwegian and English.
